In this age when an alarming number of people seem to revel in ignorance, I hate to say it, but I don’t want to know what muliebrity means. I’m content to let this word die a dusty death and remain entombed in some reference book.

Over the years, I seem to have lost my ability to increase my vocabulary. For instance, I had to look up “transnational” again, even know I swear I’d learned that word about a year ago. Part of my job is to write descriptions of esoteric scholarly publications, so I can’t afford to tax my aging brain with extra words. If I tried to add muliebrity to the mix, I might lose one of the words I really need at work, such as historiographical and exegesis.
